ITINERARY
FIRST DAY ALGECIRAS – CHEFCHAOUEN -MEKNESS
Assemble in Algeciras; get the return tickets for the fast ferry. Board the fast ferry to Tangier, Morocco. Upon arrival in Tangier we will pick up our van with our driver and travel Chauen, an unforgettable little town in the Rif mountains. Its blue and white houses form a labrynth of vivid colors not to be missed. . Guided visit to points of interest. Afterwards you will have some free time to eat and then travel on to Meknes. Arrival in Meknes and hotel check-in

SECOND DAY MEKNESS – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – SAHARA DESERT
Breakfast
Panoramic visit of Mekness with a local guide including, Bab el Mansur, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and the market. After which depart for the south of Morocco, crossing the middle atlas –where you can se the wild apes- and the high Atlas. Stop en route to eat and continue to to the oasis of Merzuga where you get your first taste of the Sahara. Its dunes stretch infinitely into the horizon and some rise more than 150 meters skyward. We spend the night in haimas (communal tents) in the gate of the desert.

THIRD DAY SAHARA INMERSION
Breakfast.
The dunes area of Erg Chebbi is approximately 60 km long and 25 km wide.
Half day excursion by 4x4 for visiting unexplored parts of the desert, including an oasis inhabited by only Berber nomads. Fossiles mines and the lakes in the desert. . During the journey we stop to take photos, walk and observe everything that draws our attention along the way. In the spring, many animals can be seen, with their offspring.
Later we will go back to Kanz Erremal
Free afternoon to get filled with the silence of the desert
Evening camel trek, with our local desert guides, into the Erg Chigaga dunes for sunrise. We guarantee that the experience of a Saharan sunrise is well worth the journey. It is absolutely breathtaking. This is one of the highlights of the trip and a memorable way to start this day.
FOURTH DAY SAHARA -FEZ
Breakfast
Leave for Fez, a beautiful city where Morocco’s rich tradition and culture are alive and well today. Truly a World forgotten by western civilizations, Fez was created by a descendent of the Prophet Mohammed in 791. Today Fez is the religious capital of Morocco. We will also visit Ifrane a lovely ski resort town in the middle Atlas.

FIFTH DAY FEZ
Breakfast .
We leave the hotel to tour Fez with the local guide. The tour includes visits to the Borj Sur, constructed by Christian slaves; just like the most important doors, walls and kazbahs of the city and the merinide tombs. Later we continue on to Fez el Jedid to see the Alaui Square and the Dar el Makhzen –the Royal Palace-. After that we take the van to Fez el Bali where we visit the spice vendors. A truly impressive part of the city where the fragrances and perfumes cast a spell on the casual tourist, inviting them nearer. We finish the morning with visits to the Madraza el Attarin, masterpiece of Islamic artistry, and the Es Seffarin plaza near the leather tanners.
Free evening.

Optional: We reccomend you a Moroccan dinner & Belly dancing and music show in an charming palace of Fez Medina. So you can change dinner for lunch at the hotel and enjoy this dinner. The suplement per person is 30 €.
SIXTH DAY ASILAH - ALGECIRAS
Departure for sightseeing in the coastal village of Assilah. After lunch we take the bus to Tangier where you will board the fast ferry to Algeciras. End of the tour
