There are between 5,000 and 7,000 taxis within the city of Sevilla on an average day. Due to the high availability rate,
it is extremely easy to flag down a driver by waving your hand in the air.
Although taxis can be expensive, they are a good way to get around town in a hurry or stay safe at night.
The prices vary by distance and are remarkably more expensive than riding the bus.
An average cab ride will cost between 5 and 10 euros for only a 5 to 10 minute ride.
Like any city, Seville has a large fleet of taxis that service the city.
Those with the green light on are free and those that have a number 1 or 2 lit are occupied.
All taxis are restricted to the following charges:
Service 1:
Starting price: 1,06€
Price per Kilometer: 0,74 €
One hour hold or wait: 16,17€
Minimum price: 2,91 €
Service 2:
Starting price: 1,30 €
Price per Kilometer: 0,91 €
One hour hold or wait: 20,30€
Minimum price: 3,65 €
Service 2 is applicable in the following situations:
a) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays for services rendered from 0:00 to 24:00.
b) Services rendered from 21:00 to 07:00
c) Services rendered during the “Feria de Abril”
d) Services rendered from the 24th through the 31st of December from 0:00 to 24:00.
Service 3:
Is for clients traveling to and from the airport or any long distance within the service limits of Sevilla.
The price is 18,58 € or 20,72 € depending on the circumstances of the service (Service 1 or Service 2 respectively).
General Charges:
a) Each piece of luggage that measures more than 60 cm (Service 3 excluded) - 0,37 €
b) Services rendered during the “Feria de Abril” and “Semana Santa” from 21:00 to 07:00 for quantities registered on the taxi meter for services falling under Service 2 and services of 20 € in Service 3 - add 25%
c) Special Services - add 25%
d) Service to the Aeroclub de Tablada, Puerto Batán, Abonos Sevilla, Astilleros, and Esclusa - 1,61 €
e) Service to the Sevilla campgrounds - 3,52 €
There are a number of popular taxi stops around town.
Fridays and Saturdays or during Holidays the number of taxis free may be very low.

If you really need a taxi and can’t find one you can always call one of the following numbers.
Please remember that they generally start the meter from the time they receive the call.
Calling a taxi is also a good idea if you need a lift to the airport or train station early in the morning.
