FRIDAY:
TETUAN “Jewel of the Rif”
Leaving Seville at scheduled time we pick you up in various points along the road heading towards Algeciras, being attended in the port of this city to board on the most modern Fast Ferry of all which cross the Strait of Gibraltar, travelling at top speed (just 35 min.) to Ceuta, a Spanish garrison in the North of Africa. On your arrival at the station of this city you will have the chance to exchange (Moroccan currency). After border procedures we continue to Tetuan, only 25 miles far.
Overnight in a 4**** Hotel including dinner & breakfast.
SATURDAY
TANGIERS “Romantic - Historical - Commercial”
... sightseeing in Tetuan & Tangiers. Leaving hotel after breakfast sightseeing tour in Tetuan, beginning with the modern part in our coach with panoramic views of the city. Walk around its boulevards and cafes from Moulay El Medhi Square to get to the incredible main square Hassan II, where the Royal Palace is located. Visit its surroundings.
We get to the Medina (walled old city) through the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellalh). Visit its markets and souks, the Berber Souk the most popular, and the typical artisan quarters. After typical lunch in an old palace turned into a restaurant situated in the very centre of the Medina, some free time for shopping. Leaving the city we continue to Tangiers (37 miles). In your arrival enjoy the panoramic views across the modern part of the city: Boulevard Pasteur, Plaza Francia, and the Diplomat’s residential neighbourhoods. Continuing afterwards with the guided tour. You will be amazed at the Grotto of Hercules and Spartel Cape.
Break to optional ride on camels. At night optional show in the “Morocco Palace”, an old famous cabaret where the best folklore and traditional music in the whole north of the country is offered.
Overnight in a 4**** Hotel situated beside the longest and most popular beach, including dinner & breakfast.
SUNDAY
CHAOUEN “The holy town in the Rif Mountains”
Leaving the hotel after breakfast we continue towards Chaouen, typical mountain village in the Rif mountain range. Walk around this popular town beginning with the Alcazaba, fortress located in main square Uta Hammam, first settlement erected by the town founder Moulay Ali Ibn Rachid. Continuing on our way to the Medina or old part of the town, the Great Mosque which its entrance is only allowed to the Muslims, and the Quarter Rif Al-Andalus, built some centuries ago to welcome the Muslims coming from Spain after the Arab domination.
The sighteseeing ends in the North of The Medina outside the walls at the water source Ral Al-Ma that supplies the numerous fountains which make the town remarkable.
Some free time for shopping, European lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, return to the Port of Ceuta, boarding on the Fast Ferry.
Return to origin of departures.
