Calling Cards

Calling Cards are the best way to stay in touch with your friends and family at home. Most of the language schools and study programs have a supply in their student services offices, however, you can find them at almost any cyber café, tobacco shop, or magazine stand (kiosk). We have also designed a secure system through which you can purchase your calling cards online.

How does it work? (online)
Enter your personal information and credit card number on our secure server
Open the email and find the calling options and PIN number
Choose your calling option: toll free (land line), toll free (phone booth), cell phone
Choose the operator language (press 2 for English)
Enter the PIN number received via email
Dial the number you wish to call using 00 + country code + phone number; Calls to the U.S. are dialled 001+area code + phone number

Things to keep in mind
To call a Spanish number, you must dial 0034 as the country code
Calling cards are a relatively cheap way to call Spanish cell phones
Acceso gratuito (toll free) jeans that you do not have to pay a connection fee for the connection to the international operator. It is not necessary to put money in the phone booth in order to place the call. It also means that you can place the call from any land line (home phone) without incurring any charges to the monthly phone bill

Acceso local (local paid access) jeans that you do pay a connection fee for the connection to the international operator. You do need to put money in the phone booth in order to place the call, but the card gives you more minutes this way. Do not use this option if you live in a house with a Spanish family or do not participate in paying the phone bill, because the charge will appear on the monthly bill

All of the advertised rates are for calls made from a land line (phone booth or home phone) to a land line (phone booth or home phone). Calls made from cell phones have different rates and fees, the same goes for calls made to cell phones

Our suggestions
Phone booths usually charge an extra 0,045 € a minute. To avoid this charge use the green phones located in some of the smaller bars. Don’t forget to buy a beer to keep the owners happy

The hours between 21:00 and 23:00 are high traffic times and may lead to circuit saturation. Try to avoid calling during these times

The cheapest way to stay in touch with family and friends, on your end anyway, is for them to call you on your CELL PHONE because all incoming calls are free.
